and what better way to start your birthday than to spend 2 hours waiting in line at the DMV to get your license renewed :-( oh well, at least I had Carl and Rory to keep me company through my iPod.

Day's end should be better - time for some unreal :-). I was lucky enough to get my hands on the special collectors edition last week, and this game just rocks! Fast paced action, great graphics, excellent weapons balance, great online gameplay and just plain fun. I haven't enjoyed a fps this much since Quake 2.

Happy birthday, Luke!

BTW, I'm thoroughly enjoying SharpReader. One of these days I might want to discuss with you how you managed to keep memory usage at such an all-time low for a .NET application. I'm impressed!

Anyway, look for me on UT2k4 too... under the same name. Hope to see ya.

If you like something far more visually pleasing than UT, try Far Cry it's also available on DVD.

AC: I've played the Far Cry demo and agree that graphically, it's superior to UT2004. Gameplay-wise though, I found it rather slow. I had to be way too careful out of fear of dying. Too much sneaking around and not enough fast-paced action in my opinion. Dunno how the online gameplay is though...
